Obviously all this directive does is get things moving. The directive must be incorporated into the legislation of the various Member States.There will doubtless be Community legislation and Court of Justice decisions to help us disentangle this matter. I hope the directive will achieve a final formula and also that , in the meantime , Parliament and the Council will progress with the approval of the regulation on the utility design and model , so that we end up having Community arrangements permitting free movement of all these products
Wir werden sicherlich Gemeinschaftsrecht , Vorschriften vom Gerichtshof erhalten , die uns helfen werden , diese Frage zu klären. Ich hoffe , daß in der Richtlinie zu einer endgültigen Lösung gelangt werden kann. Inzwischen sollten Parlament und Rat den Erlaß der Richtlinie über Gebrauchsmuster und - modelle vorantreiben , denn damit hätten wir eine Rechtsvorschrift , die den freien Verkehr all dieser Erzeugnisse ermöglichen würde. ä
Mr President , politicians would appear to have an easy job today. It seems as if we are only needed to liberalise the trade in goods and services. We have to disentangle as much as possible as rapidly as possible from the protective structures that different countries set up for the protection of people and the environment. Thus it would seem that today policy controls only people , but not goods or capital , and as a result , policy has lost its credibility. Free citizens cannot trust in a policy that casts everyone in the same mould and turns the electorate into mere consumers.The liberalisation of goods and services is being discussed in the WTO , and that is the right place for international agreements. For that reason , we naturally have no other option than to approve the agreement now being discussed just as Mr Kittelmann suggests in his report
Herr Präsident. Die Politiker haben heutzutage eine leichte Aufgabe. Offensichtlich brauchen wir nur den Handel mit Waren und Dienstleistungen zu liberalisieren. Wir sollten möglichst schnell die Systeme abbauen , die in den Ländern zum Schutz der Menschen und der Natur errichtet worden sind. Dann , so könnte man meinen , werden durch die Politik gegenwärtig nur die Menschen , nicht aber materielle Dinge oder das Kapital beherrscht. Deshalb hat die Politik an Glaubwürdigkeit verloren. Die freien Bürger haben kein Vertrauen mehr in die Politik , die alle Menschen in das gleiche Schema preßt und so mündige Bürger zu reinen Verbrauchern macht.Wenn die Liberalisierung von Waren und Dienstleistungen in der WTO erörtert wird , so ist das der richtige Ort für eine internationale Vereinbarung. Deshalb haben wir natürlich keine andere Möglichkeit , als den Vorschlag für einen Vertrag zu akzeptieren , so wie es auch der Bericht von Herrn Kittelmann vorgibt
