Therefore , a strong and organised Europe is needed more than ever before to bring peace and stability and radiate humanism , social justice and freedom , values with which we so like to identify ourselves

It is in itself extremely positive that you radiate a certain optimism regarding this difficult issue , both where the problem as a whole is concerned and , specifically , when it comes to your reading of Bush. I wish I could be just as optimistic. Just the other day , George W Bush gave a speech on energy and climate change that unfortunately did not show any real movement in the right direction. I of course agree with you , however , that the dialogue with the United States is incredibly important because , without its active participation , the work on climate change can never be properly effective.It is , of course , just as important to engage in dialogue – and dialogue of a strategic nature – with large developing countries such as China and India
