Mr President , ladies and gentlemen , Hegelian dialectic saw man as a product of his own work. The emancipating idea of work resulting from this notion is in total contrast with the Biblical curse condemning man to win his bread with the sweat of his brow just because he ate the fruit of the tree of knowledge

Die daraus folgende emanzipatorische Vorstellung von der Arbeit steht in deutlichem Gegensatz zu dem biblischen Fluch , mit dem der Mensch verurteilt wurde , sein Brot im Schweiße seines Angesichts zu verdienen , weil er die Frucht vom Baume der Erkenntnis gegessen hatte

Economic growth will of course help us , but it also has something to do with the fact that we have coordinated our economic policy better than before , and that coherence and convergence are already beginning to bear fruit

Da hilft uns natürlich Wachstum , aber das hat ja auch damit etwas zu tun , daß wir unsere Wirtschaftspolitik besser als bisher abgestimmt haben , daß die Kohärenz und die Konvergenz bereits Früchte tragen
