| I would also like to pay a tribute to the work done by Mr Söderman over the last few years.I am sure that Professor Diamandouros will undertake his responsibilities in a way which will enjoy the confidence of this Parliament and which will overwhelmingly earn the confidence of Europe's citizens as well. We wish him the best on this journey and we assure him that on this occasion , arriving and landing in Ithaca is even more exciting than travelling there | Ich möchte auch die Arbeit würdigen , die Herr Söderman in den letzten Jahren geleistet hat.Ich bin sicher , dass Professor Diamandouros sein Amt in einer Weise ausüben wird , die ihm das Vertrauen dieses Parlaments einbringt und den europäischen Bürgern das Gefühl vermittelt , dass der Bürgerbeauftragte ihre Interessen wirksam vertritt. Wir wünschen ihm alles Gute auf diesem Weg und können ihm bei dieser Gelegenheit versichern , dass die Ankunft in Ithaka noch sehr viel spannender ist als die Reise dorthin |
