Their idea was that soup is a common food amongst people and that soup transcends boundaries. Through this project , which was directly related to the Scottish curriculum , they organised a parents soup day and , with their other partners , produced a book with 25 soup recipes. Through soup and the support of Socrates the outcome of this project was more motivated pupils and staff , a greater awareness of their own environment as well as other places , and increased understanding of information communication technology.I hope that the next Socrates programme produces more projects like that of Whitfield Primary School and maybe the next time you tuck into a bowl of soup , you will remember the educational value Socrates has across the Union
Sie knüpften daran an , daß es bei allen Völkern üblich ist , Suppe zu essen , diese somit grenzüberschreitend ist. Im Rahmen dieses Projekts , das unmittelbar an den Lehrplan in Schottland angebunden ist , wurde für die Eltern ein Suppentag organisiert und zusammen mit den Partnern ein Buch mit 25 Suppenrezepten erarbeitet. Somit haben die Suppe und die Unterstützung durch SOKRATES dazu beigetragen , Schüler und Lehrer stärker zu motivieren , eine stärkere Sensibilisierung gegenüber dem eigenen Umfeld sowie anderen Regionen zu bewirken und das Verständnis der Informations - und Kommunikationstechnik zu verbessern.Ich hoffe , daß durch das nächste SOKRATES - Programm noch mehr Projekte wie das der Whitfield Primary School entstehen mögen und Sie sich vielleicht bei der nächsten Schüssel Suppe daran erinnern , welchen erzieherischen Wert SOKRATES in der Union hat
