It is therefore vital that the ambitious stance taken by the Committee on the Environment should be confirmed in tomorrow's vote on the three reports by Hiltrud Breyer , Christa Klaß and Irena Belohorská

I am in favour of a reasonable compromise that would achieve a balance between health and environmental protection on the one hand and agricultural production on the other hand. This is why I voted for the report prepared by my Slovak colleague , Mrs Irena Belohorská , who is a recognised expert in the field of prevention and treatment of cancer diseases

I have witnessed the difficult fate endured by people and their families at the hands of this disease , which could not fail to touch even the hardest of hearts.I am grateful to the Committee on the Environment , Public Health and Food Security for putting a question on this topic to the Commission , which instigated this important debate. I thank all the authors of the resolution , including my Slovak colleague Irena Belohorská , for their efforts , without which we would have not found the answers to serious issues related to this aggressive disease
Ich habe erlebt , wie schwer das Schicksal sein kann , das diese Krankheit Betroffenen und ihren Familien auferlegt und das wohl auch das härteste Herz erweichen muss.Ich bin dem Ausschuss für Umweltfragen , Volksgesundheit und Lebensmittelsicherheit dankbar , dass er eine Anfrage zu dieser Problematik an die Kommission gerichtet und damit diese wichtige Aussprache ausgelöst hat. Ich danke allen Verfassern der Entschließung , zu denen auch meine slowakische Kollegin Irena Belohorská zählt , für ihre Bemühungen , ohne die wir keine Antwort auf schwierige Probleme in Verbindung mit dieser aggressiven Krankheit gefunden hätten
