Mr President , last summer Greece suffered one of the worst disasters it has known in recent times. More than 60 people perished , there were many casualties , and thousands of hectares were reduced to ashes. Such was the tragic toll of the fires of the Western Peloponnese , Attica and Evia. Mehr als 60 Menschen sind ums Leben gekommen , es gab viele Verletzte , und tausende Hektar Land gingen in Flammen auf. Dies ist die tragische Bilanz der Feuersbrünste auf der westlichen Peloponnes , in Attika und auf Euböa. Von ähnlichen Katastrophen waren in den vergangenen Jahren auch andere EU - Mitgliedstaaten in Mittelmeerraum wie Spanien , Italien oder Portugal betroffen
Greek legislation on proselytism was found to be in compliance with the European Convention on Human Rights by the European Court of Human Rights.
