| I will deal with the situation in Kosovo separately in a moment. But it seems to me that it should also be discussed in the context of this debate , as there are so many points of reference with the remarks put forward by Mr Tindemans in his report. The political , economic and also the humanitarian consequences of an escalation , an overspill of the conflict in Kosovo into other regions , will directly affect the interests of the Member States and those of the applicant countries of the European Union | Ich komme gleich noch gesondert auf die Lage im Kosovo zu sprechen. Es scheint mir jedoch , daß auch im Rahmen dieser Debatte darüber gesprochen werden muß , da es angesichts der Bemerkungen , die Herr Tindemans in seinem Bericht vorgebracht hat , zahlreiche Anknüpfungspunkte gibt. Die politischen , die wirtschaftlichen und auch die humanitären Folgen einer Eskalation , eines Überspringens des Konflikts im Kosovo , werden die Interessen der Mitgliedstaaten der Europäischen Union und der beitrittswilligen Länder unmittelbar berühren. Dabei denke ich nicht zuletzt auch an die Möglichkeit , daß wieder enorme Flüchtlingsströme in Gang gesetzt werden |
