I welcome the fact that the members of the CSU in this House will vote in favour of this report. Unfortunately , many members of the CSU in the German , which has yet to ratify the Treaty , appear to have no inkling of the significance and implications of the Constitution , as they have announced their intention to vote against it. This is yet another example of the double game which the CSU is so fond of playing , which involves being progressive here in Europe and flying the flag for the benefit of the outside world , but speaking out in opposition at home , just in case
Ich begrüße es , dass die CSU - Abgeordneten hier zustimmen werden. Leider haben viele CSU - Abgeordnete im deutschen Bundestag , der ja den Vertrag noch ratifizieren muss , die Bedeutung und die Tragweite der Verfassung anscheinend nicht einmal im Ansatz verstanden , denn sie haben angekündigt , dort dagegen stimmen zu wollen. Dies zeigt wieder einmal das Doppelspiel , das die CSU so gerne spielt : Hier in Europa fortschrittlich sein und nach außen die Fahne hochhalten , doch zu Hause prophylaktisch schon einmal dagegen sein. Aber das ist die Tradition der CSU , denn bereits 1949 hat sie gegen das Grundgesetz in Deutschland gestimmt
Mr President , I believe that both the President s reply and the debate concerning the previous question are evidence of the selective approach of the said International community for dealing with world - wide problems , including the situation in the Balkans. At the moment , Mr President , we are witnessing the ethnic cleansing of Serbs , Gypsies and any other ethnic groups living in Kosovo. Is this issue of any concern to us. Yes or no. Secondly , does the Council believe that the KLA will have disarmed by 19th of the month , i.e. Monday. Yes or no. Thirdly , does the Council have any inkling that the KLA is , by its actions , attempting to or is in danger of destabilising Albania and the Former Republic of Macedonia. Yes or no. I would appreciate some concrete answers
Herr Präsident , sowohl die Antwort des amtierenden Ratspräsidenten als auch die Debatte über die vorangegangene Anfrage haben meines Erachtens gezeigt , wie selektiv die sogenannte internationale Gemeinschaft die weltweiten Probleme , darunter auch die Situation auf dem Balkan , behandelt. In diesem Moment , Herr amtierender Ratspräsident , gibt es ethnische Säuberungen gegen Serben , Zigeuner und alle möglichen anderen im Kosovo lebenden Nationalitäten. Beschäftigt uns dieses Problem. Ja oder nein. Zweitens , was glaubt der Rat : Wird die UCK am 19. September , also am Montag , entwaffnet sein. Ja oder nein. Ist sich der Rat drittens nicht im klaren , daß die UCK mit ihren Aktionen die Gefahr der Destabilisierung Albaniens und der Ehemaligen Jugoslawischen Republik Mazedonien verursacht oder dies zumindest versucht. Ja oder nein. Ich bitte um eindeutige Antworten. Ihnen sollte die Rückkehr mit allen Mitteln erleichtert werden
