In the event of a pandemic , the production of a vaccine after mutation occurs will be complicated , and we will be racing against time to save lives

This is essentially just a technical change , but , scientifically speaking , you cannot prevent mutation of H5N1 , much as we would like to and powerful though we might think we are
Herr Präsident. Ich möchte lediglich vorschlagen , den Begriff „Mutation“ im Änderungsantrag durch „Rekombination“ zu ersetzen. Die PSE - Fraktion hat bereits angedeutet , dass sie diese Abänderung befürworten würde. Dies ist eigentlich nur eine technische Änderung , aber aus wissenschaftlicher Sicht kann man eine Mutation des Virus H5N1 nicht verhindern , so sehr wir uns dies auch wünschen und für wie stark wir uns auch halten
